The Office of Academic Enrichment works to provide services in alignment with the mission of the Bepko Learning Center by serving as a primary point of contact and as a follow-up for students in need of academic support. As a means of providing an accessible and inviting platform to engage the IUPUI community, our office operates the Resource Desk, which is centrally located on the second floor of Taylor Hall in UC 2006. The Resource Desk is a central source of information to obtain general information about the campus as well as methods of improving their academic success in the form of study skills assistance, academic mentoring, private tutor referrals, and free supplemental tutoring.
In addition, the Office of Academic Enrichment provides free study skills assistance in areas such as time management, note taking, test taking, test preparation, stress management, and study strategies in the form of workshops and one-on-one mentoring sessions. Our expertise in these areas have led us to develop partnerships throughout the IUPUI community with other departments and programs such as STAR (Students Taking Academic Responsibility), the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Office of International Affairs, and the chemistry department’s PLTL (Peer Led Team Learning) program to provide workshops, one-on-one mentoring, and pedagogical support. As we seek to increase the reach of our impact contribution here at IUPUI by continually developing collaborative partnerships, we invite you to explore our site and learn more about the Office of Academic Enrichment.
We encourage IUPUI students to allow us to contribute to their academic growth. Visit us to arrange a free one-on-one study skills mentoring session with a trained resource mentor who can share techniques designed to improve your study skills. Also, please contact us if you would like to learn more about free departmental tutoring and academic mentoring sessions, as well as information on how to arrange private tutoring via the Tutor Matching Service Facebook Application. We are here to answer your questions regarding general information and to provide referrals to the various resources available on our campus.
